Actum4’s AgeWare project is selected by ACTIVAGE to receive funding and enter the ACTIVAGE Ecosystem

Actum4 in collaboration with Sofia Development Association and Virtech Ltd has been awarded funding for its AgeWare project by ACTIVAGE.

ACTIVAGE is a European Multi-Centric Large Scale Pilot on Smart Living Environments, funded by Horizon2020 from the European Commission. Its main goal is to build the first European Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem across 9 developing sites and 7 countries. With 31 proposals submitted to choose from, ACTIVAGE picked AgeWare and two more projects to include in its revolutionary ecosystem.

AgeWare is is a project involving the use of software and hardware IoT (Internet of Things) solutions, in order to ensure the elderly enjoyment of an Active&Healthy Ageing. AgeWare’s main focus will be towards achieving two main tasks: 1) Daily activity monitoring and 2) Health Parameter Monitoring. The solutions will provide continuous monitoring of the elder’s activity and wellbeing, both inside and outside the home. A Wellbeing Monitoring System and Specific Protocols will also be implemented to assess and identify risky situations providing suggestions to change into healthier habits.

The project will begin on September 1st 2019 and will continue until June 30th 2020.
