SynchroniCity awards funding for Actum4 and KMB Lab bicycle tracking system

Actum4 and KMB Lab have been awarded funding and participation to the SynchroniCity project. SynchroniCity is opening a global market where city and businesses develop IoT (Internet of Things) and AI-enabled services to improve the lives of its citizens and regional economies.

Actum4 and KMB Lab have introduced an innovative technology that is inserted in bicycles and small vehicles, which allows for extremely accurate tracking. Through this initiative, bicycles and small vehicles can be recovered when stolen with an estimated success rate between 90-95%. This enormous advantage will prevent individuals from being discouraged using bicycles to travel across the city, ensuring a more environmentally sustainable mode of transportation.

Additionally, the analysis of the city data will be used to assess bicycle routes and patterns, in an attempt to improve the city’s infrastructure. The project will be enacted in Santander and Milan.
